USAGE

This Clove Bud Essential Oil is steam distilled from the blossoming, tiny, crimson budgs of Syzygium aromaticum evergreen tree growing wild in the forests of Indonesia. With its rich, warm, sweet-spicy eugenolic aroma, it offers numerous applications within beauty, cosmetic, aromatherapy and soapmaking applications.

The main chemical component of the oil is Eugenol, which is also responsible for its strong fragrance. Eugenol is also an important molecule for modern dentistry that is still found in pharmaceuticals today for toothache and gum complaints.

It is most widely used to help with minor pain and inflammation management, especially the pain associated with dental problems. Applied topically in extremely low dilution and with the help of other oils, it assists in restorin ease and comfort to tired, fatiqued or overworked bodies. Spicy and heart warming, it is a powerful cleaner for the home, especially during seasonal illness, when looking to minimise unwanted bacterial, viral, or fungal activity. When diffused, it can be an added tool to support a healthy immune system. It is immensely beneficial as a digestive support when gently massaged onto the abdomen.

It blends especially well with essential oils in the wood, spice, citrus, floral and herbaceous families. It can be helpful in helping to improve the aroma of blends and formulations that have a "medicinal" or unpleasant scent to them.
