What is “Organic Cosmetics"?
Oganic Cosmetics are cosmetic products which are made of plant derived ingredients and other naturally occurring ingredients, cultivated by certified organic farms. According to the COSMOS-Standard, cosmetic products to be marketed as organic must be certified with the compliance of the defined criteria on:

Remarks: Each ingredient category is subject to the respective requirements.
Only physically processed agro-ingredients and chemically processed agro-ingredients can be certified organic. To be considered as organic or with organic content, they must be certified.
For cosmetic products to be certified organic by COSMOS-Standard, below are some of the key criteria:
- Maximum 5% synthetic compounds.
- At least 95% compounds are of natural origin.
- At least 95% of the physically processed agro-ingredients must be organic.
- At least 20% of the total product (or 10% for rinse-off products) must be organic.
- Water and minerals are NOT calculated for Organic Percentage.
